They've lost their greatness.. Not sure if it's me or them
Regarding a VEGAN menu - this really isn't the stop for you. Refried beans may be the only "substantial food item" on the menu a Vegan can get. I was planning to order the chips and beans but guess what - in 2017 Taco John's is still frying everything together - that means those chips are no longer VEGAN. Taco John's should figure this out soon. No one wants their chips cooked in the same oil the meats are cooked in.
It doesn’t matter if you go through drive thu or go inside it’s going to take you at least 15-20 minutes to get your food. This is the slowest fast food I’ve ever encountered! Ridiculous!
Secondarily - NONE of the toppings are VEGAN!!! Why? Because the employees can't seem to get cheese out of the trays without spraying it everywhere. My lettuce had quite a selection of cheese in it. GROSS! Someone needs to figure out how they can make the entree items without cross contaminating everything else in the process.
Novel idea - use a rag and clean up once in a while.
The service at this location is so slow; both the drive thru & inside at the counter. Their syrup in the pop fountain always seems low or out. I've seen most of the workers with at least one earbud in. The food is usually hot, but my orders have been messed up.
September 4, 2017 - You get what you pay for at a Taco John's and this one is certainly a poster child of that. From the messy kitchen to the dirty dinning room it is hard to figure out how this places can pass a state health inspection.
I was inside of the store with my 8 year old son. It appeared that the person who was taking our order was in training. The person who was doing the training initiated a belching contest with my son, who looked at me with mortification, as this (I assume) teenager continued to belch at him while I attempted to complete my order over his rude and foul behavior. There was not one person working who appeared to be an adult. Not one person seemed to be concerned with this employee following us around while we waited for an unreasonably long amount of time for our food, belching and making faces. The icing on the cake was that our eat-in order was wrong, but I didn't dare go back to the counter and ask for it to be fixed. It was truly uncomfortable. I would not recommend.
The above sucks because Taco John's has some of our favorite flavored Tacos. We typically go through the drive thru so that we don't need to think about what is happening inside. We should have done that today too.
May slowing down and trying harder would help. We can all wait 10 more seconds for our food if we need to.
